Garden Bore Owners

Garden bores supply over 25% of the water used by household gardens in Western Australia. Under the water efficiency measures that came into effect on 1 October 2007, garden bore owners in Perth and Mandurah may only water their gardens using bores three days a week.

The three day watering roster for garden bore owners works on the same roster as two day a week scheme water users, plus an additional day.

The daytime sprinkler ban between 9am and 6pm for bore owners remains.

Scheme Water Users

The two day per week sprinkler roster in Perth and Mandurah has become permanent as part of the new water efficiency measures. As a result sustainable waterwise gardens are encouraged.
