Since the introduction of the new water efficiency measures for regional WA on 1 October 2007, all communities north of Kalbarri and Kalgoorlie operate on an alternate days watering roster and may only water either before 9am or after 6pm.
To find out your watering days check your house number or, if you don't have one, use your lot number. The alternate day watering roster works on the basis that if your house number ends in an odd number (e.g. 1, 3, 5, 7, 9) you may water on days of the month ending with an odd number. If your house number ends with an even number (e.g. 0, 2, 4, 6, 8), you may water your garden on days ending with an even number.

All Western Australian communities south of Kalbarri and Kalgoorlie are required to adhere to a two day a week watering roster. This water efficiency measure operates on the same basis as the Perth Region two day a week watering day regime.
Households are able to water two days per week based on the last digit of their house number. If you don't have a house number use your lot number. For example if your house ends in 1 you may water on Wednesday and Saturday. If it ends in 2 you may water on Thursday and Sunday etc. Householders may only water either before 9am or after 6pm.
